By BBN Staff: Bert Vasquez became one of the most disliked personalities in recent Belizean history after he was charged in connection with the abduction and murder of Jasmine Lowe in 2012.
However, he is facing more heat for another instance in which he allegedly abducted and harmed a 16-year-old girl.
According to reports, the girl was forcibly abducted and harmed by Vasquez in May 2011.
The minor had reported to police that the incident occured in Belize City when she was near the Pound Yard Bridge.
Vasquez allegedly forced her into his vehicle and drove her to the Vista Del Mar area in Ladyville where he lashed her to the face with a gun until her nose bled.
Yesterday during a case management session, Vasquez’s trial for that incident was set for December 9.
BBN will continue to monitor this case.
