By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Works issued a release this morning informing the public that the Burrell Boom Bridge will be closed for short intervals commencing today from 9:00 through to 11:00 a.m. This is to enable heavy equipment in the area facilitate the disassembly and removal of the Old Burrell Boom Bridge.
The Ministry urges the public to be alert when approaching the bridge site and to adhere to the traffic control measures in place while heavy equipment operations are on-going during the time period specified.
It states that the Ministry regrets the inconvenience caused but the intermittent closure is necessary to enable removal of the Old Burrell Boom Bridge.
