By BBN Staff: The 24-hour forecast is for moist and unstable conditions with overcast clouds and showers to continue.
Periods of rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected over most areas.
The Belize Weather Bureau has issued advisories that localized flooding is occurring over low lying areas and will continue over the next day. Residents along streams and rivers in the South should remain alert for flash flooding tonight and tomorrow.
Small craft operators are also advised to exercise caution.
The wind will blow from the north to northeast at 10 to 20 knots.
The sea state will be moderate to rough.
High temperatures are expected as follows: In the coast, 78 degrees Fahrenheit; 84 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Low temperatures for tonight in the coast are expected at 74 degrees Fahrenheit, inland at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and in the hills, 64 degrees Fahrenheit.
The extended forecast for Saturday and Saturday night is for a some showers with periods of rain over most areas.
