Saturday, August 1st, 2015. BMG: An early morning robbery of First Caribbean Bank in Belize City yesterday, July 31, has left police trying to piece together clues and looking through security camera footage in an attempt to identify the culprits who executed this bold criminal act.
According to Police Superintendent Linden Flowers, who is responsible for precinct 4 in which the robbery occurred, three dark-skinned men entered the bank in San Cas Plaza at around 8:40 a.m, taking the security guard inside along with them and ordering everyone to the ground, after which they took an unknown amount of money and escaped in a green van that was waiting outside.
Superintendent Flowers told media houses Friday afternoon that 3 persons who are well known to police have already been taken into custody with the help of the security camera footage and will more than likely be charged for some part in the robbery.
Monies stolen in the robbery has not been recovered as yet but Flowers says that police are conducting searches to do so as soon as possible. Police investigation continues.
