By BBN Staff: Police in Corozal are investigating a murder that happened in that district this morning.
BBN contacted Corozal police who confirmed that police were patrolling in an area off the San Andres road in Corozal when they heard a woman asking for help.
When police responded to the area where the woman was, they saw her holding a male Hispanic person with cut and stab wounds and what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The person was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital and died shortly thereafter.
The victim has been identified as Armando Pelayo Jr.
Police investigation continues.
