By BBN Staff: Just before 2 a.m. this morning, a grey car ran off the road and crashed into a coconut tree on the side of the George Price Highway.
The incident occurred at the top of Mount Hope hill in Unitedville, Cayo.
Including the driver, there were 7 occupants in the car, all residents of Unitedville.
There was no fatality or serious injury. However, most of the occupants were taken to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment.
According to an eyewitness the vehicle was coming from a bar in Unitedville and the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Police detained the male driver but BBN could not confirm if he would be charged.
