By BBN Staff: Marvin Mora was elected President of the National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) for a third straight time on Saturday, however, he will not be able to fullfill his term.
He knocked out his challenger, Hubert Enriquez, by a large margin.
But Mora will not be allowed to serve as president because the NTUCB’s constitution does not allow anyone to serve three terms as president.
Apparently there was some confusion regarding the regulations of the constitution.
Instead, first vice president, Jacklyn Willoughby will serve as President for two months when a general assembly is held to determine the way forward.
