Tuesday, August 25th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: The owners of two entertainment establishments in Belize City, Rexis Mejia and Mora Mejia, were charged with immigration offences when they appeared on Monday before Magistrate La Donna John.
Rexis, who is the owner of Long Island Bar on Blue marlin Drive, was charged with 3 counts of employing a person not in possession of a valid temporary employment permit.
Mora, who is the owner of La Catracha bar on Coney Drive, was charged with 4 counts of employing a person not in possession of a valid temporary employment permit.
They pleaded not guilty to the charges and they were released on bails of $6,000 each with one surety or two sureties of the same amount.
