Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Flora Pereira Reporting: Over the past few months there has been mass infrastructural development of the streets in Santa Elena and San Ignacio Town.
Residents were happy to see a change but now that it is the beginning of the rainy season, and they realize that all this infrastructural development was made without considering proper drainage.
Residents are very unhappy with the current situation and the authorities in charge of these developments have still not given any explanation as to why no drainage system was put in place or considered when building the streets.
The effects of flooding are currently being experienced in these municipalities.
We’ll keep monitoring this situation.
