Friday, September 18th, 2015. BMG: The Western Regional Hospital has been getting a bad rap recently for several disturbing incidents that have happened there, 
including the rat infestation, the rat bite of a new born child and the most recent snake bite of a nurse.
Well another incident from that hospital has put it on national blast and sent unending criticism towards it, when a mother of four children died shortly after having a caesarian section there.
Norberta Sanchez of Big Falls Village, Toledo District, was admitted into the Southern Regional Hospital last week Tuesday and then transferred to the Western Regional Hospital where the equipment is available to do the C-section that she needed to give birth to her child.
That surgery was given to her and a healthy baby was born but something went terribly wrong and another surgery had to be done to remove her womb after she began hemorrhaging.
All attempts to stop the bleeding were unsuccessful and Sanchez was then transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where despite the best efforts of the doctors and nurses, Sanchez died, leaving behind her newborn baby, several other children and her husband.
