Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015. BMG: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting mostly cloudy skies this morning with some showers, thunderstorms or periods of light rain mainly over the southern parts of the country and along the coast.
Skies will be cloudy at times this afternoon and tonight, with a few showers and thunderstorms mainly inland this afternoon and mostly in the South tonight.
Winds will be blowing from the East at 5 to 15 knots with higher gusts and near heavy showers or thunderstorms. The sea state will be choppy, becoming locally rough at times and a small craft caution is in effect.
High temperatures today are expected around 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 79 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
A high tide is expected this evening at 5:29 p.m. and a low tide this morning at 11:35 a.m.
The Sun will set at 5:49 p.m. this evening.
The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for cloudy spells with a few showers and thunderstorms in the south and generally isolated showers elsewhere.
