Tuesday, September 29th, 2015. Orange Walk Bureau Reporting: New technology is being marketed in Belize that can positively impact the Sugar Industry.
Yesterday, Inspection Robotica and Skynet a professional robotics services company and an aerial services company visited with several companies to introduce their new state of the art services being offered in this region.
Representatives, Jake Brown, CAO of Inspection Robotica and John Ferguson, CEO at Skynet said that at yesterday’s demonstration, the team showed the crowd how the device works as they flew one of their drones above a sugar cane field about a mile off the Yo Creek Road.
These experts say if the technology is adopted by the sugar industry, it would translate in farmers saving thousands of dollars. Ferguson says the technology can place Belize as a leader in the region, and already they are working towards training local pilots and putting local aircrafts in Belize.
The team is also aiming at opening a manufacturing facility to build aircrafts in Belize to sell around the world.
The team will continue to carry out visits in places all over the country in the hope of getting exposure to their services.
