Tuesday, October 13th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: A truly tragic accident on the Maya Beach Road, just outside of Placencia Village, has left a family in despair and financial debt.
Driver Giancarlo Vega apparently lost control of the vehicle he was driving for yet unknown reasons last night. Vega’s common-law wife, 21 year old Kyria Krystelle Campos, died of her injuries after being trapped in the vehicle, while Vega and his twin babies were also injured and are in the hospital.
Vega received serious injuries and is currently undergoing surgery while the babies have been hospitalized for their wounds as well. The family was heading back home to Placencia Village when the incident occurred, leaving friends and relatives in a world of hurt.
The family of Giancarlo Vega is seeking financial assistance to aid with medical expenses in this time of bereavement and an account has been made available at Atlantic Bank where any donations can be deposited. That account is under the name Cynthia Westby with account number: 211512941 and donations can also be dropped off at Boris Mannsfeld and Associates’ office below Rumfish.
