Thursday, November 5th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: While not doing so right away, leader of the People’s United Party (PUP) Francis Fonseca intends to step aside following a fourth consecutive election loss this year, and second election in his four year tenure.
Fonseca told reporters the party would now organize a special convention to elect it’s successor and he would stay around until that person is chosen.
Leadership, Fonseca said, has made him a stronger and patient person and he is at peace over a decision he made some time ago and the work he has done for the party.
Fonseca will also not stand for re-election after completing his fourth term won yesterday in Freetown.
