Friday, November 13th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: Punta Gorda (PG) Police made the shocking discovery of a body hanging in the home of an American couple in Cattle Landing Village, late Wednesday afternoon, November 11th.
Officers visited the home of 51 year old Scott Christopher O’Brian and his common law wife, 50 year old Dorleen Reynolds, located just a few minutes out of PG, after he reported that a domestic dispute had resulted in Reynolds sending him suicidal text messages. It was around 3:50 p.m. when police entered the home and saw Reynolds hanging from a rope in the living room, apparently dead.
O’Brian told officers that he had left for Placencia on November 7th to think things over since he and Reynolds were going through domestic problems. While he was away, O’Brian said he received the suicidal text messages from Reynolds and immediately visited the PG Police Station upon his return on Wednesday afternoon, at around 3:30, to make the report.
The body of Reynolds was transported to the PG Hospital morgue where she was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m. on November 12th. Police investigations continue.
