Friday, November 13th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: A family dispute in San Pedro Columbia Village, located some miles out of Punta Gorda (PG) town, landed a father and his two sons in the hospital for chop wounds inflicted among themselves.
Police visited the PG Hospital at around 10:20 p.m. and saw three men of Mayan decent, namely: Luis Co, the father of the other two males, Ormando Co and 25 year old Daniel Co, all suffering from chop wounds to various parts of the body.
Daniel told officers that earlier in the night, November 11th, his mother and father were involved in a heated domestic dispute and when he and his brother Ormando intervened, their father, Luis, went for a machete then chopped Ormando to the head, right hand, right knee, back and left hand. Luis also inflicted a single chop wound to Daniel’s left hand.
During the incident, Luis received multiple chop wounds to the head, right knee and shoulder as well and later had to be transported to the Southern Regional Hospital for further treatment, while Ormando was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for his injuries and Daniel’s minor injury was treated in PG.
Police investigations continue.
