By Chrisbert Garcia: A bold daylight robbery in the old capital yesterday afternoon resulted in a Western Pines resident losing items and cash valued at $1900, along with identification cards, credit cards and keys.
39-year-old Angela Hislop reported to police that around 12:35 p.m., while walking at the corner of Far West Street, two male persons approached her and one pointed a gun at her then grabbed her bag before using the gun to hit her behind the head.
Inside the stolen bad, was Hislop’s black iPhone 5s in a pink case, valued at $1300, a cash amount of $600, Social Security Cards, Driver’s License, First Caribbean Bank ATM card, as well as house and vehicle keys.
Quick police work led to the recovery of the woman’s belongings and the detention of a 17-year-old male of Bagdad Street in Belize City, who is now pending investigation.
