By BMG Staff: A single mother and her three children will spend the Christmas in a more comfortable fashion. Earlier today the folks at Belize Bank along with Hand in Hand Ministries handed over keys to a new home to the Martinez family on Jane Usher Boulevard. The wooden two-bedroom structure was granted to the family based on their needs.
The newly built wooden structure is a collaborative effort with the Belize Bank and its recipient, Viola Martinez, said she had been waiting for six months and now has it just time for Christmas.
Belize Bank’s public relations manager, Laurie Banner Herrera, says that the partnership is something that is anticipated annually and that this house had been in their budget from last year. She noted that each applicant is deserving and needy and it is therefore a hard process to sort out who gets the new dwelling.
