By Chrisbert Garcia: Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened last night in Roaring Creek village, Cayo District, which could have easily taken the life of 19-year-old farmer, Ari Vanzie as he rode through the village.
The teenager told police that around 8:30 p.m., he was riding near the football field on Progress Avenue when two male persons dressed in black with masks covering their faces, emerged from some bushes with guns and began shooting at him as he dropped his bicycle and ran in the opposite direction.
Vanzie also left behind his Nike slippers as he ran from the men who had a Shotgun and a 9 millimeter handgun. It was until he arrived at the Roaring Creek Police Station, that he realized a bullet had grazed his pants, leaving a hole in it.
Police then visited the scene and found nine Aguila brand 9 millimeter expended shells and two red Aguila brand 12 gauge expended cartridges.
