By Dalila Ical: Fuel prices have dipped but only for regular gasoline and Kerosene.
As of midnight on December 29th the prices in Belize City for Regular Gasoline dropped by 32 cents to $8.30 per gallon. Kerosene decreased 10 cents to $4.48 per gallon.
In a release issued today, government stated that the reduction in prices is due to lower CIF prices. Import duties and other taxes on both will remain unchanged, adding that future reductions in the CIF prices will be passed on directly to the price at the pump.
Government assures that it also “intends to maintain the current level of duties and taxes without change on these products”.
