By BMG Staff: The Belize Bank recently inaugurated and opened its new San Ignacio branch at 21 Burns Avenue, just down the street from its original location, marking the end of service at the 16 Burns Avenue location which had an outstanding 27 year history of service and excellence.
The inauguration of the new location and new building, however, is a testament of Belize Bank’s commitment to continue its legacy of excellence in service to the community of the larger San Ignacio area. The growth at the bank’s branch in San Ignacio and all over the country has made it necessary to build bigger and better facilities not only in San Ignacio but also in Belize City, Orange Walk, San Pedro and Ladyville.
Belize Bank aims to provide premium banking services to its customers through its upgraded and modern facility filled with well-trained staff, which it believes will make it the preeminent financial institution in Belize and the Caribbean.
The branch covers a total area of 5,380 square feet and is equipped with a modern interior, comfortable and spacious environment with streamlined and personalized services for Customer Service, Loans, Custodian Departments and Commercial Banking Center services.
At the inauguration last week over 150 persons were in attendance to celebrate the launching of the new Belize Bank San Ignacio branch. Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Director Joy Grant was also present to commemorate the occasion along with past and current Branch Managers’ and clients of the Bank. His Lordship the Mayor of San Ignacio, Mr. Earl Trapp delivered the Mayor’s remarks, while Belize Bank Executive CEO, Mr. Lyndon Guiseppi delivered the keynote address. Branch Manager Elie Rosado invited guests to tour the branch after Fr. Benjamin Galvez blessed the building.
“As proud as we are about the opening of the new branch with all of its conveniences, banking is not simply about bricks and mortar. The primary reason that the Belize Bank is in San Ignacio is because of you – our customers. Without our customers there can be no bank – what a great
bunch of clients we have had over the years,” Belize Bank CEO, Guiseppi said.
As of January 25th, the branch began serving customers from the new location with the same great service.
