By BBN Staff: Salvadoran National and 43 year old owner of “Esmeralda’s Used Clothing” on Queen Street in Belize City, Saida Ventura, reported to police that on Friday morning around 9:35, an armed man entered her business place then stole cash and items to a total value of $770.
Ventura told officers that a dark complexion male person with a firearm, demanded money as she was helping a customer and when they refused to hand over their possessions to the robber, he locked them in a storeroom, threatening to shoot them if they came out.
The assailant then stole $200 in cash and an assortment of electronic items. Police are investigating.
