By BBN Staff: Three Ford Ranger pickup trucks, valued at around $120,000, were handed over to the Ministry of Health’s maternal and child health program from an initiative called ‘Salud Mesoamerica’, which is funded by several partners including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Government of Spain.
The vehicles will be used to assist with outreach activities for preventative interventions at the community level, geared towards improving maternal health and reducing child mortality in the Western and Northern Health Regions where they have been sent for immediate use.
