tropic gives backBy BBN Staff: Tropic Air presented the King’s Children Home in Belmopan with $400 on Monday as a part of its continued #TropicGivesBack charitable campaign.

Rondel Usher, Tropic Air Belmopan station manager, along with his staff presented the cheque to the organization during a brief handing over ceremony on Monday.

“Our culture of caring extends beyond our passengers, aircraft and our airports, and into the community at large. We try to put our ideas into actions though community programs such as #TropicGivesBack,” Tropic Air’s President, John Greif III said.

“The dedication and many talents of our staff are the foundation of our success as an airline. Tropic is proud to be able to help our staff share that dedication and talent with the people in the communities we call home,” Tropic’s CEO, Steve Schulte, added.

Under the #TropicGivesBack program, for every ticket bought at the month’s selected station, $1 is donated to an organization chosen by the staff from that community. In February, $400 was donated to Arms of Love in Caye Caulker. March was the chosen month for Belmopan. San Ignacio has been chosen for April and Punta Gorda chosen for May.

The King’s Children Home is committed to assisting children from difficult circumstances, thereby helping them to become healthy, upright and productive citizens. The home provides secure housing, a nutritious and well-balanced diet, clothing, immunization and all medical attention needed, complete education, a loving environment where children learn discipline and respect for themselves and others, and the opportunity to grow spiritually.
