By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, CEO in the Ministry of Rural Transformation Valentino Shal and Ag. CRD Charles Galvez met with the UNICEF team to discuss the progress of the ongoing Rudimentary Water System Projects and the UNICEF WASH Project in Belize.
The Ministry noted that the meeting highlighted shared vision for future initiatives.
“The continued collaboration between UNICEF and the Ministry of Rural Transformation is pivotal in our mission to enhance water services and ensure that all rural communities have reliable access to potable water,” the Ministry said.
The UNICEF team included Maaike Arts UNICEF Regional Health and Nutrition Adviser, Panama, David Simons UNICEF Regional WASH Adviser, Panama, Angella Baitwabus UNICEF Belize Health Program Officer, Dr. Sola Oladeji UNICEF Belize Health and Nutrition Specialist.
“Together, we are committed to making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our rural populations,” the Ministry reiterated.
