Belama residents charged with aggravated assault in Fiesta Park incident

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Two residents of Belama Phase 4, Shaunee Shannon Cabanas, 28, and Allen Ellis Valencio, 20, appeared in court on Friday charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking Kenan David Flowers, 26, in Fiesta Park on May 15, 2024.

Valencio faced an additional charge of common assault. Both pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of $800 each under conditions including staying 50 feet away from Flowers.

Flowers reported that Valencio threatened him with a knife and a stone, prompting Flowers to defend himself with a pallet board. Cabanas and another woman then allegedly threw stones at Flowers, causing him to flee. The case continues on July 19, 2024.
