Volunteers and environmentalists have been joining efforts to battle the blazes.
Daniel Mendez, National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) coordinator, disclosed alarming figures regarding the impact of forest fires in the Mountain Pine Ridge.
Approximately 32,000 acres have been affected, signaling significant devastation.
However, Mendez mentioned that assessments in the Cayo District are pending, with efforts slated to commence in the coming days.
