By Breaking Belize News Staff: Camryn Lozano, now 22, and Albert Gill, accused of the 2020 murder of Egbert Baldwin, alias “Eggie,” were acquitted on Thursday by Justice Madam Candace Nanton of the High Court.

Upholding the defense’s no-case submission, Justice Nanton cited unreliable evidence, including inconclusive DNA found at the scene. Despite witness testimonies, the court found insufficient proof of identification or a joint enterprise.

After nearly four years in remand, Lozano and Gill were released to their families, following a successful plea by their attorneys last week.
