By Breaking Belize News Staff: Cesar Pablo Martinez, a 43-year-old supervisor with Priority Security Services, spent his first night on remand on Thursday after being accused of pointing a gun at an employee on Stake Bank Island.

Martinez, from Orange Walk District, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm against Mark Chris Carcamo during his court appearance. Denied bail due to the nature of the offense, Martinez will remain in Belize Central Prison until his trial on August 6, 2024.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday, June 4, around 9:45 a.m., during a conversation between Carcamo and Martinez on the island. Carcamo reported to police that Martinez accused him of disclosing information to their office about an incident. Allegedly, Martinez then threatened Carcamo, pointing a gun at him through a window, causing him to fear for his life.
