Belize City stabbing leaves man in critical condition

By Horace Palacio: A 31-year-old man is in critical condition after a stabbing incident in Belize City on Saturday night. The victim, Juan Rios, was walking his dog near his home when he was allegedly attacked by Mark Anthony Stevens following a verbal dispute.

Mr. Rios suffered multiple stab wounds and was rushed to Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital, where he remains under medical care. The suspect, Mr. Stevens, fled the scene and is currently being sought by police.

Authorities have recovered a knife believed to be the weapon used in the attack and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

This incident marks another violent crime in Belize City, raising concerns about public safety in the area.
