Belize Weather Forecast: Sunny spells and isolated showers expected today; Increased rainfall Thursday

By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a forecast for today, Wednesday, June 12th, predicting sunny spells with a few cloudy intervals throughout the day. While isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected, they are more likely to develop inland this afternoon and along the coast late tonight.

Marine conditions will see east-southeasterly winds blowing at 5-15 knots, creating choppy seas with waves reaching 3-5 feet. Temperatures will vary across the country, with coastal areas reaching 91°F (33°C) during the day and dropping to 82°F (28°C) at night. Inland areas can expect highs of 99°F (37°C) and lows of 77°F (25°C), while the hills will experience temperatures of 84°F (29°C) and 70°F (21°C) respectively.

Looking ahead, the forecast for Thursday and Thursday night indicates cloudy periods with a few showers and thunderstorms primarily affecting inland areas on Thursday afternoon. The rainfall is expected to increase across most areas by Thursday night.
