By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During Tuesday’s meeting with the Business community in San Ignacio and Santa Elena, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams urged for police- community cooperation to combat crime in the Twin Towns.
COMPOL Williams asked the community to help the police and recognized that the residents feel ignored but committed to making necessary changes.
COMPOL Williams encouraged the neighborhood watch groups to work together and to activate the WhatsApp groups.
In addition, the Commissioner urged the Citizens Advisory Committee to continue to work with the police and lobby for resources.
In response to residents call for more Community-police meetings to discuss strategies to combat crime, Williams says that he urged OC Franco to resume monthly community meetings.
