Candidates gear up for Toledo East by-election on July 17

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last weekend, former CEO Dr. Osmond Martinez won the PUP convention in Toledo East.

Now, Martinez, the UDP’s Dennis Wiliams and PNP’s Wil Maheia will face off in a by-election for Area Representative for that constituency.

Prime Minister John Briceño has announced the date for the Toledo East by-election.

“The date is going to be July 17. It’s going to be my birthday, so I will be working on that day in Toledo East,” the Prime Minister said.

A writ of election is expected to be issued soon.
