Benny’s Belize Hurricanes, Belize City Defenders to clash in Belize Elite Basketball League 3-game Final Series

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Elite Basketball League 3-game Final Series features a Belize City clash as the defending champions Benny’s Belize Hurricanes qualified to the big dance along with the Belize City Defenders.

The three game series starts on Friday, June 21, with the Hurricanes playing as hosts. The second game is scheduled for Friday, June 28. The third and final game, if necessary, will be played on Friday, July 5.

All games are scheduled for the Belize City Civic Center, which is the home court for both teams.

The Hurricanes dispatched the EZ Investments Griga Dream Ballers 2-0, trouncing them 105-70  on May 19 at the Belize City Civic Center and then beating them 90-83 at the Russell ‘Chiste’ Garcia Auditorium in Dangriga on May 24.

The Defenders clinched their series 2-0 over the San Pedro Tiger Sharks with both games at the Civic in Belize City. They won Game One 86-79 on May 19 and then edged the San Pedro side 72-69 last Friday, June 7.
