“Possession of conch during the closed season”
All offenders were charged and taken before the court for offences against the Belize Fisheries Regulations.
The Hol Chan Marine Reserve team thanked the San Pedro Police Department for its unwavering support and all stakeholders who provided information.
The public is reminded that the Queen Conch season has officially closed on June 9th due to the catch quota being realized, therefore, no one should have any Queen Conch in their possession between June 9th to September 30th, 2024.
Additionally, the lobster season will officially open until July 1st.
