Excessive rainfall forecast for Belize; residents urged to monitor situation

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Meteorological Service of Belize forecasts excessive rainfall especially over Northern and Belize Districts during the next 12 to 24 hours.

Residents in flood prone areas are urged to monitor the situation and contact the Hydrology Unit at 822-0667 for any information on flooding.

Offshore waters will be rough, especially in easterly swells, along with strong gusty winds.

Mariners should seek safe harbor.
