Leader of the Opposition participates in Belize Diaspora Summit

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Leader of the Opposition, Shyne Barrow is currently in Los Angeles, California participating in the Belize Diaspora Summit.

The Summit is being held from June 19 to 22, 2024.

“Having a productive experience at the Belize Diaspora Summit.

The Diaspora is a great asset to the development of Belize that needs to be exploited to greater effect,” Barrow expressed. 

The Summit brings together stakeholders including political leaders from Opposition and Government.

Barrow noted that the summit is an optimal opportunity to network and strengthen the unbreakable bond between Belizeans home and abroad.

“The Belizean Diaspora is a bipartisan matter that invites the rare moment in a politically charged world that Opposition and Government can work together to support legislative measures to address the rights, inclusion and collaboration with the Diaspora to advance the best interests of Belize,” Barrow added.

Barrow congratulated the organizers Aria, Rishma and Devin for their continued efforts to fortify the bridge that eternally links Belizeans everywhere.
