Dining out costs more with inflation rate at 7.6%

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Data from the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) demonstrates that dining out is costing Belizeans more.

For the month of May, 2024, ‘Restaurants and Accommodation Services’ went up by 7.6 percent, almost entirely due to higher prices for restaurant and café services.

Prices across all types of food products are still considerably higher than they were during the same month of last year.
