By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno met with the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
The Prime Minister extended congratulations to the new Executive Council of the Belize Chamber of Commerce.
PM Briceno and the BCCI discussed Tax Reform – PAYE and GST, Sugar Industry Commission of Inquiry and Price Control Regulations.
BCCI commended government on the work on the Collateral Registry, Amnesty on Taxes for MSMEs, the Credit Bureau and as well shared their support on the funding collaboration with Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) which is investing US$125 million in grant funds in the energy and education sectors in Belize.
The PM says that they agreed on a tentative date for the next quarterly meeting.
