Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan and Director of National Security meet with President of Taiwan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan Dr. Candice Pitts joined Ambassador Oliver del Cid, Director of National Security and head of the National Security Directorate of Belize, as well as the Director of National Security of Taiwan, Minister of Defense of Taiwan, other government officials and representatives from other countries, at a meeting with President of Taiwan, Dr. Lai Ching-te.

Ambassador Del Cid is representing Belize in the National Development Course organized by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

During this 10-day course, participants engage in lectures and practical experiences and become privy to information pertinent to regional security, military and national defense systems, diplomacy, and strategy policies.
