National Amateur Interdistrict Championship: EZ Griga Conquerors, San Pedro Terror Squad play to 0-0 Stalemate in Finals Leg 1

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Try as they may, neither the homestanding EZ Griga Conquerors nor the visiting San Pedro Terror Squad were able to get the ball into the back of the net in the first leg of the National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC) Finals at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Terror Squad will now have the advantage when they face off again on Saturday, August 24, at Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro.

The EZ Griga Conquerors made it to the finals after edging out Orange Walk’s Mi Gente on a 5-4 aggregate score. They drew 2-2 on Sunday, August 4, at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk and secured their spot by beating the Orange Walk side 3-2 in the second leg of the NAIC Semifinals on Saturday, August 10, at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga.

San Pedro Terror Squad had it easier against the Toledo Legends FC, winning with a commanding 4-1 aggregate. Terror Squad won both matches, 2-1 at home at Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, August 3, and 2-0 in the second leg on Saturday, August 10, at the Victor Sanchez Union Field in Punta Gorda.
