Integrity Commission reappointed for two-year term

By Aaron Humes: Governor-General Froyla Tzalam has re-appointed the current members of the Integrity Commission to serve again for a period of two years with effect from April 1, 2024.

Those persons are: Andrea McSweaney McKoy – Chairperson; Zoe Roberson-Zetina, Katherine Vanessa Meighan, Ricardo Ismael Moguel, George Randolph Swift, Payal B. Ghanwani and Jaraad Ammar Ysaguirre – Members.

The seven-member Commission is empowered to review and scrutinize the accounts and personal information of persons in public service, including but not limited to members of the National Assembly and municipal councils among others. These persons are to submit their documentation under the Integrity in Public Life Act by the end of March annually and can be sanctioned if they do not.
