Taiwanese economic delegation explored Trade opportunities in Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Taiwan Embassy is proud to have hosted the 2024 Taiwan Economic and Business Cooperation Mission.

The mission was in Belize from September 5 to 9.

This delegation, consisting of representatives from Taiwanese companies spanning sectors such as green energy, high-tech, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and finance, came to Belize to explore potential trade and investment opportunities.

The visit commenced with the Belize-Taiwan Business Connect event, organized by the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

During this event, the delegation engaged in productive B2B meetings with over 40 local business representatives, setting the stage for future collaborations.

In addition to the B2B meetings, the delegation visited key institutions including BELTRAIDE and the Ministry of Foreign Trade.

They engaged with high-ranking officials including Dr. Osmond Martinez, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, CEO Narda Garcia and several other prominent figures to gain insights into Belize’s trade environment and investment potential.

The Taiwan Embassy says that it welcomes trade missions from Taiwan and is dedicated to strengthening economic ties between Belize and Taiwan.
