By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In honor of National Service Day observed on September 19, 2024, the Belize City Council’s Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard Jr., Councillor Dorian Usher, Councillor Malcolm Nunez, and Councillor Stephanne Hamilton paid a courtesy visit to Parks Night Shelter, operated by the Salvation Army.
Councilors handed over a donation of fans and personal hygiene kits for the Raymond Parks Night Shelter and the Gann’s Rest House, which will be distributed to the shelters’ clientele based on assessed needs.
“This donation is a symbol of Mayor Wagner and the Belize City Council’s commitment to continue supporting community service organizations that serve the most vulnerable among us, including the elderly,” the Belize City Council noted.
