By Jose Luis Cruz: A man driving a motorcycle was knocked down a short while ago on the George Price Highway in Unitedville, Cayo. The driver of the motorcycle was heading in the direction of Belmopan in his lane when he was hit by a car that was heading west towards San Ignacio. Bystanders alleged that the car swerved from behind a truck attempting to curve into the parking lot of a nearby supermarket.
During the impact, the driver of the motorcycle was flung off the motorcycle. He laid motionless on the ground until he was picked up by a Belize Emergency Response Team (BERT) ambulance from Spanish Lookout.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan.
