By BBN Staff: Attorney General Vanessa Retreage announced this afternoon at a press conference in Belize City that GOB will not appeal the Section 53 decision, but interested parties may.
“GOB will not tolerate hate speech or actions against other people due to differences,” the Attorney General said.
According to the Attorney General, nothing was found in the decision that is to them appeal-able and they will not appeal for the sake of appealing.
The Prime Minister also said that cabinet endorses the Chief Justice ruling and personal opinions have been taken in consideration.
“Those shown to be affected by the decision can apply for leave to appeal,” PM Barrow added.
This is a developing story and will be updated shortly.
