By BBN Staff: The Board of Directors of the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) have agreed to make “a significant donation” towards hurricane relief efforts in Belize.
While the amount was not mentioned, PACT issued a release stating that “PACT is aware that among the many segments of the Belizean population that have been affected by Hurricane Earl are our co-managers of protected areas and our school aged children who are preparing for the new academic year”. The contribution will be made to the co-managers and school aged children.
The donation will be made to the Red Cross in a ceremony to be held at 9:30 a.m on Thursday, August 18 at the Belize Red Cross office at #1 Gabourel Lane in Belize City.
