By BBN Staff: The Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has contributed $5,000 to the Belize Protectors Association.
The Association is a team including personnel from the Belize Police Department, the Belize Defense Force and the Belize Coast Guard.
In March of this year they competed, for the first time, in the B2V race, a relay of 120 miles from Baker California to Las Vegas Nevada, USA. In their debut performance against over 8, 000 other competitors, the team of 25 ranked 14th overall and took first place in the mixed category.
The donation goes towards the team’s preparations for the next competition in 2017.
