Dorian Pakeman

By Aaron Humes:  Police Commissioner Allen Whylie commented on the report from the DPP’s Office that when police sent over the Dorian Pakeman accident investigation file, it did not include the forensic lab’s positive test for cocaine.  That would be a rather conspicuous omission – and yesterday Whylie told the media that it’s the fault of a police officer who never delivered it to the DPP.

According to officer commanding Eastern Division (Rural), ACP Edward Broaster, they became aware of that certificate after the fact and they had received a copy and he had directed an individual officer to take that certificate to the DPP. He later learned from the DPP that had not been done and he is addressing that issue. A meeting with the DPP was scheduled on Thursday.
