That – almost – is how much Carmen Gamboa from Concepcion Village in the Corozal District won in the most recent Fantasy Five jackpot collected on Thursday. The draw, for 494 thousand dollars was the resulted of an unclaimed jackpot of which half was paid into the recurring jackpot prize which starts at 150 thousand dollars.
Gamboa, who takes home about 420 thousand dollars, won using a “quickpick” – five numbers randomly selected by the Fantasy Five draw machine.
She says she will build a house and bank the rest of the money as well as give some to her sons.
